Birthday invitation surprise

This week we were invited to a very special occasion; a 4th Birthday party for a local lad. His family said that he, and his siblings are obsessed with the Police and that when he is older, he'd like to join the Constabulary. 

Despite a very busy period currently we managed to spare 20 minutes to wish him Happy Birthday, let him and his friends speak with local police, sit and explore in a marked vehicle and see and hear the blues and twos. 

We always love these types of engagement, we may never know who we might encourage to join the emergency services when they are older, and it is a welcome change of pace from our day to day duties. 

After some party games we resumed to our regular patrols; shortly before Lightning Mcqueen arrived- we've seen the films, we wouldn't want to issue a fine for those speeds! 

Thank you to the family for reaching out and inviting us, and we hope he had a very lovely birthday.
