Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team |

Dear citizen,
Neighbourhood Sergeant Jo Prejbeanu and the team would like to update you in relation to activities carried out over the last week. This included ASB Awareness week where we have posted a number of highlights from the week via our X account @AldridgeWMP and the hashtag #ASBAwarenessWeek.
✅ Anti-social Behaviour Awareness Week ✅
Earlier in the week, the team attended Aldridge Community Centre and got involved in the Aldridge Summer Fete to engage with members of the public and provide an opportunity for local people to have a chat with us. Children and adults got to experience our cage van and information was provided as to the processes of dealing with criminals with use of the van. Thanks to the The Thomas Project and its community driven members who provided a great community based approach in bringing people together.
Officers carried out foot patrols with one of our fantastic local Street Watch groups around the Lazy Hill area of Aldridge where focus is on being proud of where you live and looking out for suspicious activity, noting any issues or concerns. The local Streetwatch groups are committed to their areas, like all street watch groups are for their own areas across West Midlands, and are knowledgeable about where they live and in their positive approach about caring about their local community.
A number of targeted patrols were carried out to deter and prevent ASB issues around the areas of Netherhall Avenue, Collingwood Drive, Hillingford Avenue and Pomeroy Road in Pheasey. Oak Park in Walsall Wood and surrounding areas including Lichfield Road, Coppice Road and the wider estates were also focused on along with partnership patrols with Walsall Council enforcement officers. These joint patrols were also carried out around Aldridge central and the shopping precinct due to recent ASB issues in this area also. Officers removed an uninsured vehicle off the road during these patrols also. Officers are working with schools to identify and number of young people involved in crime and ASB.
We have also been planning with Walsall Housing Group Community Housing Officers to carry out joint visits to properties in the area relating to drug and ASB issues.
A number of businesses across the area have also been visited and spoken with staff and security at locations to provide crime prevention advice and deter business crime across all of our neighbourhood ward areas. Community engagement at a number of locations has also been carried out such as a local care home whereby world cup celebrations and singing was underway, with officers attending and providing crime prevention advice for vulnerable people as well as staff and carers.
