Despite a morning of high drama and Jude saying we could all take the day off, Rick was back out on the ward today to get reacquainted after spending much of the last 6 weeks elsewhere (7.43 miles). Passing Eastbrookend's Tom Thumb and Bardag (9.26am) lakes, Fels Farm Mews (9.50am), Eastbrook Drive and Great Cullings followed, along with all of Parish Fields (10.11am), including Jasmine Road (p).
Harveys Lane and a visit to the college were next, followed by full coverage around the west side of Dagenham Road, including Strood Avenue, Thorntons Farm Avenue (11.07am) and Croxford Way (11.16am).
Time was spent in Central Park (p) before a loop around Parkside's Woodshire Road (11.37am, p). Rick's outing also saw him visit the likes of Tony Rawson Way, Highland Avenue (11.53am), Park Drive and Fels Farm Avenue.
"As always, thanks to anyone who offers me a drink when I'm out on the ward during the warmer months, particularly the lady in Woodshire Road today. I like to test my endurance whether it's boiling hot or freezing cold, but if you ever do see me curled up on the pavement, give me a little kick just to check on me." -Rick (7199EA)
