Foot Patrol & Crime Prevention Message

Out on foot patrol in the local area today, engaging with residents and providing a visible policing presence. If you see us, please feel free to stop and speak with us about any concerns in your neighbourhood.

With the current spell of hot weather, we would like to remind residents to remain vigilant against opportunist burglars. Open windows, unlocked doors, and insecure garden access can provide easy opportunities for offenders.

Crime Prevention Advice:

Keep doors locked, even when you are at home or in the garden.

Ensure windows are secure, particularly at ground level and when leaving a room unattended.

Do not leave valuables such as laptops, mobile phones, handbags, or car keys in view near windows.

Lock side gates and secure sheds, garages, and outbuildings.

Consider using timer switches for lights if you are away from home.

Report any suspicious activity, unknown callers, or persons acting unusually in residential areas.

A few simple precautions can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim of burglary.

If a crime is in progress, call 999. For non-emergency matters or to report suspicious activity, contact police via 101 or through the appropriate online reporting service.
