🚔 Police Community Update – Winyates We have received reports of two vehicles being broken into in the Winyates area of Redditch. Enquiries are ongoing and officers are asking residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. To help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of vehicle crime, please consider the following crime prevention advice: ✅ Ensure your vehicle is locked and all windows and sunroofs are fully closed, even when parked outside your home. ✅ Remove all valuables from the vehicle, including bags, wallets, mobile phones, loose change, and charging cables. Do not leave items on display. ✅ Take sat-navs and their mounting brackets with you, and wipe away any suction marks from the windscreen. ✅ Park in well-lit areas where possible and consider the use of CCTV, motion-sensor lighting, or additional vehicle security devices. ✅ Double-check that keyless entry vehicles are secured and store keys away from doors and windows, ideally in a signal-blocking pouch. ✅ Report any suspicious persons or vehicles seen acting unusually around parked vehicles. If you witness a crime in progress or someone attempting to gain entry to a vehicle, please call 999. For non-emergency information or to report suspicious activity, contact 101 or report online. Please share this message with friends, family and neighbours to help keep our community safe.
Kind regards
