Yesterday, officers were heading back to the station to book off duty when they spotted a female on Central Road, Hugglescote, who was wanted in connection with theft offences.

Officers stopped the female and arrested her. During a search, she was found in possession of an Amazon parcel, which had been taken from a nearby property. As a result, she was further arrested on suspicion of Theft by Finding.

The female is currently in police custody as she was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.

What could have been a routine trip back to the station turned into a successful arrest and the recovery of stolen property. A late finish for the officers, but a great outcome all round! 👏🚔
