CRIME update for June 2026 |

Dear Resident
Here is an update regarding Burglaries, Vehicle Crime and Criminal damage which occurred in the Forest Recreation Ground & Arboretum Police beat area during the month of June.
Burglaries residential = 4 Between 09/06 and 15/06 North Sherwood Street – Occupant returning home discovering damage to front door, believed to be attempt break, entry not gained. 19/06 Radford Road – entry via open door, blender, frying pan and assortment of food stolen from kitchen 25/06 Alpha Terrace – entered through window causing damage and stolen tools 27/06 Birkin Avenue – 3x male suspects have broken into property and attacked 2x occupants.
Burglaries residential unconnected building = 1 04/06 Coville Street – CCTV captures incident of female making several attempts to gain entry through a partially open ground floor window, all attempts to gain entry unsuccessful.
Criminal damage = 0 Theft of motor vehicle = 4 02/06 Sophie Road – Theft of vehicle, vehicle installed with GPS tracker. 08/06 North Sherwood Street – Between 6:30pm and 9:30pm, theft of motorbike from gated car park. 18/06 Birkin Avenue – Theft of motorbike overnight. 30/06 North Sherwood Street – Group of males believed to be targeting motorbike thefts in the area.
Theft from vehicle = 7 Between 01/06 and 02/06 Birkland Avenue – Blue badge stole from within. 06/06 Burford Road – Rear passenger side window on driver side smashed, wallet containing bank card stolen from within, attempts made to withdrawn cash from ATMs on Alfreton Road. 06/06 Mount Hooten Road – Tools from boot of vehicle stolen. No sign of forced entry. 06/06 Patterson Road – Delivery worker left vehicle insecure whilst delivering parcels on Maple Street, upon returning discovers the parcel left on front seat stolen. 07/06 Acourt Street – Vehicle broken into without any sign of damage, cricket bag containing full equipment stolen from within. 14/06 North Sherwood Street – Victim returns from town centre shopping and finds both car doors left partially open, items stolen from within. 16/06 Wallan Street – Vehicle broken into without any sign of damage, bank cards stolen and used at a local shop.
