ARRESTS MADE IN RUGELEY |
||
|
We have arrested a man and will interview another after finding cocaine, cannabis and a machete in a car and properties in Rugeley.
Officers were near Redbrook Lane at around midday on Tuesday (30 June) when they stopped a vehicle.
Cash and a phone containing drug supply-related messages were found.
A further vehicle was searched on the driveway of an associated property. Cocaine, cannabis, scales and mobile phones were found.
A search of two related properties then led to more cannabis being found, along with magic mushrooms and a machete.
A 48-year-old man, from Rugeley, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine. He has since been released on bail while our inquiries continue.
A 47-year-old man, also from Rugeley, is to be interviewed in connection with the incident at a later date.
We continue to do all we can to disrupt the supply of illegal substances in Staffordshire and are determined to apprehend those responsible.
If you suspect drug-related activity in your area, call us on 101, use Live Chat on our website or report to Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
