Neighbourhood Update

Hello Resident, I hope you are doing well. It’s PCSO Priest here with the weekly Neighbourhood update. 

What has our team been doing?

 Officers of the Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have attended a Schools event at St. George's School, where members of the Bartley Green Team and the Edgbaston Team, attended the school and showed students what we do as officers of West Midlands Police, what equipment we use, the vehicles we use and how they work ETC. We were also able to hand out crime prevention items such as PST Alarms, faraday pouches and other crime prevention items.

Our Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have also attended Edgcumbe Court, what is a supported living retirement home. As we have received reports about how youths are jumping the walls and are running through the premises. Upsetting and scarring residents. We look to work with the staff and management team to tackle this issue head on.

What’s been occurring in Bartley Green

Since the last WMNOW message, we have Seized three large packages full of drugs, what we supposed to be delivered to homes across Bartley Green. The next stage is to know to create intelligence file on the address’s, what will allow us to gain warrants to the address to seize any more items and to make arrests if appropriate.

Since the last WMNOW message, we have received two reports of theft of a vehicle. We advise that you double check that your car is securely locked and that all windows are up and not left open. We advise you to also install CCTV cameras as these can be used as a deterrent to put offenders off from stealing your vehicle. As well as recording any offences what can help officers of West Midlands Police with their investigation.
