Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week |
||
|
Good afternoon Resident
This week the teams have done a lot of joint work with partner agencies, around Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness.
We started the week working alongside Clarion Housing Association and A2 Dominion Housing, we visited some of our addresses where we have seen the highest number of Anti-Social Behaviour incidents. We have spoken to many of our residents around ongoing issues and what we can do as a joint approach to tackle these issues.
On Wednesday we worked alongside our local councillors walking around the wards, identifying key areas where Anti-Social Behaviour is occurring and starting work around what can be done to tackle these issues together. On the back of this the teams will be looking to set up some more engagement events to speak with residents, alongside joint work with other agencies to reduce Anti-Social Behaviour incidents.
Thursday the team were out in Harvington Playing Fields, with an engagement stand speaking with residents about Crime prevention and Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness. We were fortunate enough to be joined by a team of the Met Volunteers, who assisted us with weapon sweeps in the local parks and fields, we are glad to report that there was nothing found on this occasion.
To finish off our week, the teams have been in and around Beckenham High Street, speaking with residents and shoppers about Anti-Social Behaviour in an aim to raise awareness, we also spoke to many of our residents about Violence Against Women and Girls offences and what can be done to ensure that everyone is being kept safe, this was done alongside Bromley Council’s advice. In the afternoon the teams conducted Licences Premises visits/checks on the High Street, making sure all venues were aware of what to do if an issue is reported to them or they see anything happening.
All four Beckenham teams would like to thank our partner agencies and the Met Volunteers for coming along to assist us throughout the week and we hope to keep much of that joint work going! Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week is an important opportunity to highlight the work that is being done across Beckenham to prevent and tackle ASB. This is being done through early intervention, joint agency work and supporting residents.
Need help or worries about Anti-Social Behaviour? Report to Bromley Council or contact 101. If there is immediate danger always call 999.
