Support Services Across Rochdale |
||
|
If you need help in Rochdale, support is available for almost every issue. For drug and alcohol problems, Turning Point ROAR provides treatment, recovery support, detox pathways, housing support and employment guidance, while Early Break supports young people and families, and High Level Northern Trust offers recovery support and peer networks.
For homelessness or housing difficulties, Rochdale Council's Homelessness Team can help prevent homelessness, support rough sleepers and provide housing advice. Petrus, Sanctuary Trust, Brentwood Day Centre, HART, Salvation Army and Real Change Rochdale all provide practical support, outreach, accommodation advice and help for those experiencing housing crisis.
For money worries, debt, benefits, Universal Credit, budgeting, energy bills and cost-of-living support, help is available through Citizens Advice SORT, Rochdale Council customer services, RBH Money Matters, Financial Community Champions, Living Well Community Champions and local welfare advice services. Free bilingual advice is also available through organisations including Wardleworth Community Centre, Deeplish Community Centre, Spotland Community Centre and Kashmir Youth Project.
If you're a victim of crime, anti-social behaviour, hate crime, abuse, neglect or exploitation, support is available through Greater Manchester Police, Rochdale Adult Care, safeguarding services, the Community Safety Partnership and specialist partner agencies. Issues such as drug dealing, nuisance behaviour, fly-tipping, graffiti, noise and community safety concerns can all be reported and acted upon.
For wellbeing, community connections and local support, centres including Wardleworth Community Centre and other community hubs provide welfare advice, activities, education, family support, volunteering opportunities and routes into wider services.
Support is also available for domestic abuse, mental health, safeguarding adults and children, employment, training, food banks, food clubs, young people leaving care, carers, older people, refugees, asylum seekers and those involved with the criminal justice system through Rochdale Council and numerous local charities and community organisations.
No matter the issue, if you're unsure where to start, Citizens Advice SORT, Rochdale Council, Petrus, Wardleworth Community Centre or your local neighbourhood policing team can help direct you to the right service.
