Local Priorities Shoplifting Message

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Shoplifting, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

During the busy week Haverstock SNT had arrested a well known shoplifter who has been stealing a large amount of alcohol over recent weeks and was remanded for court and is awaiting sentencing. Along with a number of people stop and searched in the area of MALDEN ROAD, Camden Council had joined officers to review safety measures in the SOUTHFLEET ESTATE. Officers will be assisting in an operation to search and arrest offenders of serious sexual assaults across the ward of Haverstock. Shoplifting is a crime that can have a substantial negative impact on local businesses across London. If you notice anything suspicious or witness anyone shoplifting, please report it as soon as possible.
