Armed robbery on Butler Road

You may have seen a high police presence around Butler Road yesterday.

Unfortunately, there was an incident at around 8:40pm where officers received a call reporting an armed robbery on Butler Road, where it was reported three people were carrying knifes. Luckily, no injuries were reported. 

One man (aged 18) and a boy (aged 17) were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent supply class A drugs, grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. 

We are also aware of several other incidents that have occurred locally. While these are not believed to be linked. We recognise the impact incidents such as this can have on local residents. There will continue to be a visible police presence in the area, both to support ongoing enquiries and to provide reassurance to the community.
