BACK OF THE NET! - seizure of drugs

 Whilst the men’s England Football team were busy getting a 2-1 win against DR Congo last night, Gosport and Fareham officers were taking drugs off the street. Enquiries into separate criminal matter took them to an address in Gosport where there was a strong smell of cannabis, questions were asked and a search of the address was completed.

Amongst a number of items that drew their attention officers found was a suitcase, yes, a suitcase full of cannabis. Five large bags of cannabis from the suitcase have been seized, a male has been arrested, interviewed and released under investigation whilst enquiries are made.

As with the England team coming together and getting results this was a joint effort between Gosport and Fareham Neighbourhood Teams, the Response Team, Priority Crime Team, Custody and our Investigation Officers who will now carry on with the relevant enquiries.
