VAWG - Community Visit to Peacocks Retirement Home

This morning PC Ajax-Gill & PCSO Williams visited Peacocks Retirement Home, Peacocks Close and joined a group of elderly residents during their coffee morning.  

PC Ajax-Gill spoke with the ladies regarding feeling safe whilst out and about in the community and anything else which they may wish to discuss with us, explaining that we are hear to speak about violence against women and girls (VAWG).  

We brought along a few crime prevention products and PCSO Williams demonstrated how to use purse chains, safety bells, vibration (window) alarms and discussed scams, leaving behind a few ‘Big Book Of Scams’ booklets for residents to browse through at their leisure.
