Appeal for Information – Anti-Social Use of E-Scooters

We have received reports of e-scooters being ridden in an anti-social manner in and around the Cottage Farm Road area.

Although we have obtained some footage of those involved, the quality is unfortunately not sufficient to identify the riders.

If you have seen or heard these e-scooters being ridden, or if you have any CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage that may assist us in identifying those responsible, please contact us via 101 and quote reference 0474 of 16/05/2026, or online at Home | Staffordshire Police

Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could assist our enquiries.

We would also like to remind parents and guardians that, under current legislation, privately owned e-scooters cannot be legally ridden on public roads, pavements, cycle lanes, parks, or other public land. Their use is restricted to private land with the landowner’s permission.

Anyone purchasing an e-scooter for their child should be aware of these restrictions and their responsibilities regarding its use.
