Armed Forces Day Engagement – Ilford Town. 02/07/2026

Officers from Ilford Town Safer Neighbourhood Team attended the Armed Forces Day event and maintained a visible presence throughout the event today, helping to ensure the event remained safe and enjoyable for all attendees.

With large crowds gathering to support and celebrate our Armed Forces community, officers took the opportunity to engage with local market stall holders, residents and visitors, providing reassurance and addressing any concerns raised. Crime prevention advice was also shared, particularly around pickpocketing and theft from person, as busy events can create opportunities for offenders to target those who may be distracted by celebrations and activities.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen community engagement, promote safety awareness and demonstrate our continued commitment to keeping Ilford Town a safe place to live, work and visit.
