Beat Priorities – July to September 2026

Dear Residents

Following consultation with residents, businesses and partner agencies, the following priorities have been identified for the July to September period.

Grieve Close Area – Drug Use, Youth Anti-Social Behaviour and Criminal Damage

You said: Concerns have been raised regarding drug use, youth-related anti-social behaviour involving bikes, and damage to disused premises on and around Grieve Close.

We will:

Conduct multi-agency visits to the area to speak with residents and gather information regarding these concerns.

Work with local authorities, landowners and property owners to improve safety and security.

Take robust action against those responsible for criminality, anti-social behaviour and damage within the area.

Retail Crime – Belvoir Shopping Centre and Whitwick Retail Park

You said: Local businesses are experiencing theft, including repeat offenders targeting specific stores.

We will:

Carry out targeted operations within the identified locations.

Work alongside CCTV operators to identify and target those responsible for offending.

Collaborate with local enforcement teams and Safer Streets officers to identify offenders, seek convictions and pursue long-term orders against persistent offenders.

Adam Morris Way – Drug Dealing and Associated Anti-Social Behaviour

You said: Concerns have been raised regarding drug dealing and the anti-social behaviour associated with this criminality.

We will:

Work with partner agencies to conduct multi-agency visits and engage with the local community.

Develop intelligence alongside specialist teams to identify and target those involved in criminal activity.

Work with legal teams and partner organisations to develop long-term solutions and bring those causing harm to justice.

These priorities have been set based on concerns raised by our community. We will continue working with residents, businesses and partner agencies throughout the coming months to tackle these issues and make our neighbourhoods safer.
