Bike Marking and Young Citizens Summer Safety Fest

Dear Resident

We are hosting a bike marking event which will take place on the Market Square in Northampton on Saturday 4th July from 10:30am -15:00pm. 

By marking your bike, you are helping to protect your bike against thieves and making it easier for your bike to be identified and returned should it be stolen.

We ask that you bring along any bikes that you would like to be marked. Alongside this, you will be able to ask the local officers about crime prevention for your property whilst we mark your Bike.

This bike marking event is a part of our Summer Safety Fest, whereby a number of organisations will be in attendance on the day. 

From 10:30 on the day, we also have live stage performances with different guests including Bespoke Ballroom, United African Association, Northampton Musical Theatre Company, Performing Room and Mayhew School of Dance & Performing Arts. 

A demonstration area will also be available, which will have a wide range of different activities, including CPR and life saving skill Demonstrations, DJ Workshops and Karate Demonstrations. As well as emergency services and a wide range of organisations who will have interactive stalls for people to engage with, offering the public information on how to keep safe this summer and what positive opportunities are available for young people to enjoy over the summer period! 

On the day, young people will also be given the opportunity to design their very own summer safety poster in which the winning design will be used within next years campaign to help educate people on how to stay safe next summer! The winner will be announced at the end of the summer holidays & will also receive a prize gifted by a local business.

We invite all to come along and spend the day browsing at the stalls, looking at the emergency service vehicles, learn key life saving tips and taking part in fun activities hosted as the day goes on!
