NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICING AND PREVENTION UPDATE

Monthly Community Update from Sgt Dylan Davies PS 1070 July 2026

I hope this message finds you well. As we move through July, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

Tackling anti social behaviour (ASB) within our communities.

Tackling road safety issues within our communities.

Tackling E-Scooters & Scrambler bikes.

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

Immigration Officers conducting visits at various establishments.

RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) regarding water safety.

Housing associations to tackle tenancy-related concerns

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.

SABB (Steal And Be Banned) meeting at Tesco Ammanford - Wednesday 1st July 14.00 Hrs

Cuppa with a Copper at Tumble Hall Luncheon Club - Friday 17th July 12.00 Hrs

🗞️ Round-Up from Various Wards

Here’s a snapshot of key updates across our patch:

SABB (Steal And Be Banned) Scheme relaunched with local shops and stores. During the “NPPT Policing Week” we also conducted an Operation with officers in plain clothes targeting shoplifters.

DP Connects visits have been conducted to get more members signed up.

During the “NPPT Policing Week” we also conducted an Operation targeting E-bikes and E-Scooters that resulted in the seizure of a number of E-Scooters.
