Partners Unite to Tackle Anti-Social Behaviour During Awareness Week |
||
|
As part of Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week, partner agencies worked together to deliver a coordinated day of action in response to concerns raised by residents, businesses and the wider community. The operation included high-visibility patrols, visits to local businesses, community engagement, door-to-door reassurance visits and the distribution of information on how to report concerns. The focus was on increasing visibility, gathering community intelligence, promoting reporting methods and identifying opportunities for early intervention and environmental improvements. Residents highlighted concerns including rough sleeping, drug-related activity, littering and aggressive begging, with particular concerns for vulnerable members of the community. Agencies listened to these concerns, provided reassurance and offered practical advice and support, including crime prevention measures for those most affected. The day also identified locations requiring environmental improvements, such as clearing litter, improving overgrown areas and introducing measures to reduce opportunities for anti-social behaviour. Appropriate referrals were made to support individuals in need, while enforcement action was taken where necessary. Businesses welcomed the opportunity to work more closely with partner agencies to improve the local environment and strengthen information sharing. Reassurance visits confirmed that several neighbouring sites remained free from anti-social behaviour and rough sleeping. Thank you to everyone who engaged with officers and partner agencies throughout the day. By working together, we are making a positive difference and helping to create safer, cleaner and more welcoming neighbourhoods for everyone. | ||
