Operation Vulcan - days of action - Vehicle safety

Good Afternoon,

On Monday 30th June and Tuesdau 1st July officers from Operation Vulcan supported by your local neighbourhood team conducted a road safety operation on Lingard Lane, Brinnington.

A number of vehicles were stopped for document checks which resulted in a number of seizures due to the drivers having no insurance.

One male decided to turn around and not  approach the check point but he was soon aprehended and found to be possession of a quantity  of illict controlled drugs and arretsed for drug supply.

Another male decided to speed through the check point and he was later arrested for dangerous driving as well as for having no licence or insurance.

I want the streets of Brinnington and the surrounding area to be a safe as possible and anyone using the road network for criminality or without the relevant documentation will not be tolerated.
