Road Safety In addition to enforcement, we have been engaging directly with drivers, offering advice around safe driving practices and highlighting the risks associated with excessive speed, particularly on narrow country roads. Where appropriate, we have taken enforcement action, which has included issuing a number of Traffic Offence Reports and seizing vehicles being driven without valid insurance. These actions are aimed at improving road safety for all residents and road users. Anti-Social Behaviour As part of this work, we have issued a number of Community Protection Warnings and Notices to individuals whose behaviour has been having a negative impact on the community. These measures are intended to address issues at an early stage and prevent escalation. With the arrival of the summer months, we have started to see an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour, particularly within the Matfield and Brenchley areas. In response, we will be increasing our patrols, including more frequent marked patrols in identified hotspot locations. Our aim is to provide reassurance to residents and act as a deterrent to those engaging in such behaviour. We continue to rely heavily on information provided by members of the public, so we would encourage residents to report any incidents or concerns via our online reporting tools or by contacting us directly. This information is vital in helping us target our resources effectively. Fly Tipping However, it remains important that any incidents are reported promptly should they occur. If you become aware of fly tipping, please report it to the local council or the police, providing as much detail as possible, including location and descriptions of any vehicles or individuals involved. Timely reporting allows us and our partners to investigate effectively and take appropriate action. | ||
