Dear Residents; We have been made aware of possible offenders wearing balaclavas, riding around on electric Surron off road bikes. There is no specific time of day this is occurring however it seems to be from mid afternoon through to midnight. They have reportedly being trying car doors, possibly in an attempted to steal from within the vehicle or steal the vehicle itself. In the event you have any information or find any footage that you feel may be of interest to officers get in touch by replying to this message or email: 65500@gmp.police.uk with your name, telephone number or email address. We will then contact you to discuss.
In the event you have CCTV or Dashcam footage please preserve this footage by saving it or downloading it from the device. We will then be able to send you a link to upload the footage to our CCTV Portal.
Officers from the Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team, The Neighbourhood Policing Team and Forensic Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) are working hard to bring the offenders to justice and will be increasing activity and vigilance in the affected areas.
Please remember to ensure that vehicles are locked and secured when not attended and consider fitting secondary security devices such as immobilisers or steering wheel locks as well as removing valuables from vehicles when unattended.
