Dear Valley Ward Members, ASB Awareness Week – Joint Partnership ActivityValley & Larkswood Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) & Waltham Forest ASB Officers Date: 30 June 2026 Locations: Station Road E4 and Albert Crescent E4
OverviewAs part of ongoing Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) awareness and prevention work, Valley & Larkswood SNT Officers conducted joint partnership operations with Waltham Forest ASB Officers at two locations within the E4 ward area. The activity focused on reassurance patrols, community engagement, crime prevention advice, intelligence gathering, and environmental safety concerns.
Location 1: Station Road E4 Time: 1000hrs – 1200hrs Meeting Point: Outside Chingford Library, Station Road E4
Activity ConductedHigh-visibility reassurance foot patrols conducted along Station Road, E4.Approximately 30 residents and members of the public engaged, with ASB awareness and Met Engage information leaflets distributed.6 local businesses visited and provided with crime prevention advice and relevant literature.Engagement conducted with 1 vulnerable adult, offering safeguarding support, reassurance, and crime prevention advice.6 Met Engage surveys completed.Two intelligence-led weapon sweeps carried out at:- Car parks on Richmond Road E4 (rear of the Co-op and surrounding shops).
- North Chingford Children’s Community Garden E4.
ResultsNo weapons or prohibited items were discovered during either search.This represents a positive outcome for the local community and provides reassurance regarding the identified locations.OutcomeThe joint operation enhanced visibility within the area, reassured local residents and businesses, promoted crime prevention messaging, and strengthened partnership efforts to tackle ASB and improve community confidence.

Details submitted for appropriate follow-up action.One vehicle displaying apparent RTC damage was observed parked near the primary school on Burnside Avenue E4. Sharp and exposed damaged sections presented a potential hazard to children and pedestrians. The concern was reported to the local council for further action.OutcomePositive community engagement was achieved through partnership working, reassurance patrols, intelligence-led searches, and effective identification and reporting of local environmental and safety concerns.
