Attempted Burglary |
||
|
Dear Residents, I hope you are all keeping well.
Over the last week, there has been a number of attempted burglaries on Cambridge Road. It appears that a number of properties have had their door handles tried to see if they were unlocked, with the intention of taking car keys and stealing vehicles. Thankfully, no properties have been broken into, but it’s a timely reminder to double-check that everything is locked before you go out or before you go to bed. We have had reports of a black motorbike with two individuals on it being seen in the early hours, trying door handles along the road.
Over the next 3-4 months, many of us will have holidays booked and will be away from home. With this in mind, please take a moment to make sure your doors and windows are properly locked, and that your vehicles are secure with keys kept out of sight.
If you see anything suspicious, please report it to us by calling 101, reporting it online, or if it’s an emergency or a crime is happening at the time, call 999.
Thank you for your support. By staying alert and looking out for one other, we can all help keep our neighbourhood safe.
