Theft of Motor Vehicle - Near You - New Line, Idle and Thackley, BD10

Dear Resident,

Residents are advised of a motorcycle theft that occurred on Sunday 29 June 2026.

Between 2:00pm and 7:30pm, a motorcycle Motor scooter, Honda, Maroon, 2022, was left parked, locked, and secured with a chain. During this time, unknown suspect/s approached the vehicle and used what is believed to be an angle grinder-type tool to cut through the security chain. The suspect/s then made off, pushing the motorcycle away from the location.

Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity involving individuals loitering around parked motorcycles, carrying cutting tools, or pushing motorcycles in unusual circumstances.

✅ Ensure motorcycles are secured using multiple security devices where possible.
✅ Park in well-lit, overlooked locations.
✅ Consider additional security measures such as alarms, tracking devices, and ground anchors.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or has relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage is encouraged to contact the police via 101, or 999 in an emergency. quoting the relevant incident reference number 13260368883.
