New Forest Beat Priorities

Please see below the Forest Beat policing priorities for July to September 2026, based on community feedback and local crime trends.

Our neighbourhood team will focus on these key areas through proactive patrols, problem-solving, and partnership working to address the issues that matter most to our communities.

E-bikes – Oakthorpe and Surrounding Areas

We have received ongoing reports of e-bikes being used in an anti-social and dangerous manner within Oakthorpe and neighbouring villages.

✅ Action:

Regular high-visibility patrols will be conducted.

Engagement with riders to promote safe and legal use.

Enforcement action will be taken where offences are identified.

Anti-Social Behaviour – Donisthorpe Woodlands Centre & The Pavilion

There have been reports of anti-social behaviour occurring both inside and around the Donisthorpe Woodlands Centre and The Pavilion.

✅ Action:

Increased patrols in and around both locations.

Engagement with local youths and community groups.

Working with partner agencies to address ongoing issues and prevent escalation.

Open Water Safety – Albert Village, Hicks Lodge & Moira Canal

With school holidays approaching, there is an increased risk of people entering open water areas, which can be extremely dangerous.

Albert Village Lake

Hicks Lodge

Moira/Donisthorpe Canal

✅ Action:

Proactive patrols at identified hotspots.

Public engagement to educate on the dangers of open water.

Partnership work with local organisations to promote water safety.
