Riverside Beat Priority Update

Good afternoon all,

Last one I promise. You will receive our summer newsletter in the next day or 2. This outlines the new priorities as well as some of the work the beat team have gotten up to over the last few months too. As always, it’s a snapshot into what they’ve been doing, unfortunately, there isn’t enough space to say everything we’ve done, but feel free to get in touch with me and I’d be more than happy to discuss or talk about it. 

Priority 3: Youth anti-social behaviour 

You said: 

Coming into summer holidays, youth anti-social behaviour increases due to being out more often. 

What we are going to do: 

We will patrol the open spaces more frequently and engage with youths out and about. We will investigate reports of anti-social behaviour and enter perpetrators onto the incremental approach, ensuring the most appropriate outcomes are obtained. We will hold engagement events encouraging young people and students to come and see us to offer advice and follow up reports, taking further action when necessary.
