Witness appeal following reported assault and public order incident at Poole store |

Officers investigating an assault and public order incident at a Poole store are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
It was reported that shortly before 2pm on Friday 26 June 2026 a group of five people entered the Sainsbury’s store in Alder Road and were seen attempting to steal items.
When challenged by staff, they began making threats and throwing items at them. Criminal damage was also caused before the suspects left the store.
Sergeant Sam Kinsella, of Poole police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and are exploring a number of active lines of enquiries to confirm the identities of all the suspects involved.
“I am also appealing for any witnesses to this incident who have not already spoken to police, to please contact us.”
