I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Good morning Beam Park Ward, Please see the following guidance on what to do and who to contact if you see or suspect drug dealing, drug misuse, or related paraphernalia in your area.
⚠️ Recognising Possible Drug Activity Signs can include:
Frequent short visits to a property at unusual hours Strong smells (e.g. cannabis) coming from an address People gathering in stairwells, car parks, or secluded areas Discarded items such as needles, small bags, foil, or gas canisters Anti-social behaviour linked to substance misuse
Remember: one sign alone doesn’t confirm activity, but repeated patterns are important.
