Barnet SNT - Teamwork |
||
|
All of the Barnet Safer Neighbourhood Teams recently came together and carried out a three-day operation to tackle crime in key areas across Barnet.
The operation started with early morning warrants in Burnt Oak, where around 50 officers carried out coordinated activity, leading to arrests and drugs being recovered.
Officers were also active in Brent Cross and North Finchley, using both plain clothes and uniform patrols. This led to further arrests for drug offences, knife possession, and a suspect wanted for a number of offences.
Working with Trading Standards, police officers visited premises linked to the sale of stolen goods & counterfeit goods. This resulted in a significant amount of cash being seized and an arrest for handling stolen property.
Overall, the operation led to 14 arrests. Officers targeted drug dealing, recognising its link to violent crime, and disrupted several supply lines. Drugs and £8.5k in criminal cash were seized, and importantly, three knives were taken off the streets—helping to reduce the risk of harm and keep communities safer.
If you have concerns about crime in your area, please report them to your local Safer Neighbourhood Team or anonymously via Crimestoppers. Your information helps us take action and keep your community safe. | ||
