SORN vehicle rocovered

Vehicle Seized by Bardon Beat Officers

Whilst out on patrol in Thringstone, Bardon Beat Officers came across a vehicle that appeared more suited to a scrapyard than the road.

Following the necessary checks, officers discovered the vehicle was registered as SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification), meaning it should not have been driven or kept on a public road. Enquiries indicated that it had in fact been being used on a daily basis.

Despite efforts to identify the driver, the owner failed to come forward to claim their pride and joy.

The vehicle has now been seized, and enquiries are ongoing to trace the owner and establish the full circumstances.

A reminder that vehicles declared SORN must not be driven or parked on public roads. Failure to comply can result in enforcement action.
