Camley Street Engagement Rescheduled

Good Afternoon,

Due to current Red Weather Warning for high temperatures, the upcoming Camley Street engagement event will be rescheduled to next Friday.

This decision has been made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both residents and officers during the period of extreme heat.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

In the meantime, please take extra care during the hot weather by:

Drinking plenty of water and avoiding dehydration

Staying indoors or in shaded areas during the hottest part of the day, where possible

Wearing light, loose-fitting clothing and using sunscreen if you need to go outside.

Checking in on elderly neighbours, vulnerable residents, and anyone with underlying health conditions.

Ensuring pets have access to fresh water and are not left in vehicles.

Calling 999 immediately if someone shows signs of heatstroke, such as confusion, loss of consciousness, seizures, or if they stop sweating despite being very hot.
