Lots of people will be leaving windows and doors open to keep their homes cool during the heatwave, but might forget to shut and lock them when leaving the house or going to bed at night.

Sadly, opportunists may be looking for unoccupied homes and vehicles to gain easy access to during this period.

Please make sure you are securing windows and doors wherever possible, especially when you are leaving the house or going to sleep at night.
