Stay Safe During Hot Weather Across Lancashire

Tomorrow, 25 June, is expected to be the hottest day of the week across Lancashire, and we’re asking everyone to take extra care.

Disposable BBQs can quickly get out of control in hot, dry conditions and may start grass fires. 

Please avoid using them. 

If you’re heading out, pack a picnic instead and enjoy the day safely.

Open water may look tempting in this heat, but please don’t enter. 

Cold water shock can affect anyone, even strong swimmers, and can happen within seconds. 

If you’d like to cool down, please use a swimming pool instead.
