Hot Weather, Fire, Flood and Water Safety and Support for Vulnerable Neighbours |

Given the current Weather alert for London this is to draw your attention to the advice from Government Beat the heat: staying safe in hot weather and London Fire Brigade, including the added risk if mobile phones, let alone e-bikes, are charged in direct sunlight, Batteries and chargers - Fire safety at home , and from barbecues on balconies BBQ Safety Yesterday LFB issued a statement on Weather-related calls (please note Flooding advice for homes ) and urged people to take care outdoors during exceptional heatwave in London this week . There is also an added need for Neighbourhood Watch participants to keep an eye open for vulnerable neighbours. This LFB advice is particularly relevant Caring for vulnerable people . In order to help improve the ability of geographically-based street/estate Neighbourhood Watch groups to work in partnership with community, faith, health, wellbeing and youth group to identify and supporting the vulnerable we will have a stall at the next Team Lambeth Volunteer Fair (Saturday 11th July, West Norwood Library) 11.00 – 14.00 to meet those with whom we could and should be working on joint programmes and projects.
