Appeal following robbery

We are appealing for information after a woman was robbed in Burton-on-Trent.

The victim, a woman in her 70s, was at a bus stop near to Paul’s Café at the Octagon Centre at around 9.30am today (Wednesday 24 June) when she fainted.

While on the floor, an opportunist thief reportedly stole the woman’s bag.

Colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended and the woman received treatment for a possible ankle injury.

We are carrying out inquiries locally and urge anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to contact us.
