Stay Cool, Stay Safe, Stay Hydrated

With the warmer weather continuing, please remember to:

Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Keep out of direct sunlight where possible, especially during the hottest part of the day.

Check in on the elderly and vulnerable neighbours, friends and relatives.

Take plenty of breaks if exercising (know the signs of exhaustion).

Never leave children, vulnerable adults or pets in parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

The Local Authority have shared advice regarding BBQs.

If you are enjoying our parks in this hot weather please remember that BBQs are not allowed in any of our parks & open spaces and please put your rubbish in a bin or take it with you - dropped litter, including cigarette butts & glass can cause fires.

If someone shows signs of heatstroke (such as confusion, loss of consciousness, or stops sweating despite being very hot), call 999 immediately.

Stay safe, stay hydrated and enjoy the sunshine reasonably.
