Good Afternoon, Please can i make you all aware of this, and please pass on this information to elderly contact groups and neighbours. Potentially linked offences due to: Crime number 1 Victim (73 male) stated that he was coming back from the shops when a car pulled up in front of him, asking for the directions to the church. Victim asked which church and one of the suspects replied “the catholic church”. Victim gave them the direction and was offered £40 as a gesture of thanks. Victim declined. The driver and the front passenger were male and both were trying to sell him ring and necklace. However, victim wasn’t interested. The female suspect who was at the back seat had then gotten out of the car and tried to get victim to try on the necklace. Victim believed this was when his gold chain was stolen from his neck. SUSPECTS *********** UNKNOWN- Male 1- described as an INDIAN/ARABIC appearance aged approximately in their late 30's, stocky build. UKNOWN- Male 2- described as an INDIAN/ARABIC appearance aged approximately in their late 30's, stocky build. UKNOWN - Female- descried as a INIDIAN/ ARABIC, was wearing a head scarf, had brown hair, wearing a floral Indian outfit. Victim described the car as a grey BMW or similar looking saloon car.
Crime number 2 Victim (86 female) was in her garden and a car stopped in front of her. A female then wound down the window and asked victim for the direction to Tesco. The female then went on a rant about how she lost her mother etc. The female then asked if victim could give her a hug and a kiss. The female gave victim a ring and perfume and then left very quickly. Five mins later, victim realised that her gold chain was taken.
There were two men in the front and the female in the back – no suspect description at this stage.
Victim described the vehicle as a black limo style vehicle (not stretched limo) with a very short boot – No VRM.
