Live Facial Recognition Operation Result

Dear All,

I sent a message on Friday (19th June 2026) regarding the deployment of Live Facial Recognition Cameras. The deployment was on Portobello Road junction with Cambridge Gardens. 

The cameras activated on three occasions. Two of these resulted in arrested as the individuals were wanted for offences. The third was regarding compliance with court order requirements. 

There is another Live Facial Recognition operation running today in the south of the borough.
