It’s been another busy and productive week for the Riverside Beat Team, working hard to keep our communities safe and supported. ✅ Proactive Patrols
PCSO’s V and Jas have been out and about across the beat carrying out high-visibility patrols, focusing on our key priorities including thefts from motor vehicles, cycle thefts and offences in our parks and open spaces. 💙 Supporting Vulnerable Victims
PCSO Hafsa spent time supporting a vulnerable victim, providing reassurance, advice and guidance, while also ensuring the appropriate referrals were submitted to access further support services. 👮 Supporting Serious Incident Investigations
Our team assisted colleagues with scene preservation following a serious incident in the city centre, helping to secure vital evidence and support the ongoing investigation. 🤝 Community Events
Sgt Wilson was pleased to support the 35th Annual Muharram Procession through the city centre. The event passed peacefully, respectfully and in great spirit, with the community coming together to mark this important occasion. 🎓 Working Together for Student Safety
Our DMU officer, PC Jess, and Sgt Wilson attended a multi-agency meeting at De Montfort University to discuss ways of enhancing safety and wellbeing for students, staff and visitors. 🚔 Supporting Response Teams
With demand increasing and temperatures rising, PC Merryn and PC Fabian have been assisting our response colleagues, helping ensure the public continue to receive the service they need when they need it most. 🚲 Bike Register Event
Our PCSOs also hosted a successful Bike Register event on the beat, giving residents the opportunity to have their property security marked, receive crime prevention advice and sign up to Neighbourhood Link to stay informed about local policing updates. ☀️ Heatwave Reminder
