Wild Birds Protection.

Witness Appeal- Police are appealing for any information relating to persons disturbing ground nesting birds in the Chudleigh area of Devon between 14/6/26 and 19/06/26. 

Witnesses have seen persons walking through an area known for ground nesting birds, waving sticks and flushing out birds, and we would be interested in speaking with those involved. If you are one of the persons present and your actions were legitimate, please contact police on 101 quoting crime reference 50260159891. If anyone has witnessed this kind of activity and has photos or evidence which will assist in our investigation, please again call 101 quoting the number above.  

Wild Birds are protected by the Wildlife and Countryside act, so if you do witness any person acting suspiciously around a nature reserve, lake, or Wildlife area- please call 999 if it is ongoing, or 101 in a non emergency.
