Fatal collision, Torquay

We are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on Friday 19 June and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were notified at 10.20am on Friday of a serious road traffic collision on Hele Road in Torquay involving a bus and a pedestrian.

Sadly, the pedestrian, a local woman in her 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

No other injuries were reported.

The road was closed while an examination of the scene was carried out. It reopened around 8pm.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience during this time.

We are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision and may have dash camera footage to come forward.
