OP Dragster- 21/06/2026 update.

Yesterday, your local team carried out Operation Dragster, aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour linked to illegal off-road vehicle use across our moorland areas.

These activities continue to cause significant damage to the environment and pose a serious risk to livestock cared for by our local farmers. As part of the operation, officers also patrolled known hotspot locations where ongoing ASB issues have been reported.

Although no offenders were encountered during yesterday’s deployment, a visible police presence plays an important role. We hope this sends a clear message to those involved that this behaviour will not be tolerated, and that vehicles used unlawfully risk being seized.
