Dear residents this weeks round up from Foleshill Neighbourhood Police Team
Here is a roundup of what the Foleshill Neighbourhood team officers have been doing this week.
OUR Priorities
Our priorities are now business crime; this is an issue all over the Northeast and officers are proactively patrolling the affected areas. We have officers in plain clothes as well as in hi visibility uniform.
IN OTHER NEWS
This week officers from the Foleshill neighbourhood team and the priority crime team were busy causing disruption to criminal activity over the Northeast of the city.
This week Foleshill neighbourhood team have been busy tackling the things that matter most.
The team have again been working alongside the North East Priority Team visiting three businesses in a joint operation with trading standards officers. These visits saw a number of counterfeit cigarettes and tobacco being seized by trading standards and will be destroyed, enquiries into the businesses will be ongoing.
PCSO’s from the local neighbourhood team have been visiting local primary schools and visiting the children as they learn the topic of ‘who helps us’ this is a great way to familiarise children with the police and the uniform we wear and to discuss what and how we could do to help if they ever needed it. The children loved dressing up in the old police kit and finding their way around the police van.
Officers have also worked together with the City Council enforcement officers completing patrols of the Foleshill Road and surrounding areas and ticketing multiple vehicles.
Local officers also visited a residential road when there were reports of vehicles that were believed to be abandoned after a few checks on the police national computer found that three vehicles were on the highway with no current tax/MOT or insurance. As the vehicles have had no tax for longer than 60 days officers were able to have them recovered. Residents were very happy with the action taken
