Community Engagement – Gravesend Town Pier ⚓

The Nao Victoria is a historic replica ship currently visiting Gravesend as part of a wider European tour. The vessel represents the ship used in the first circumnavigation of the globe and is open to the public as a floating museum, allowing visitors to explore its decks and learn about historic sea voyages.

On 20/06/2026 local officers attended Gravesend Town Pier after being invited onboard the vessel. This provided a good opportunity to engage with members of the public, offer reassurance, and maintain a visible presence at a well-attended community event 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️.

There was a positive and family-friendly atmosphere throughout, with a number of community groups in attendance, including the Sheppey Pirates 🏴‍☠️.

Officers will continue to support local events and remain visible and accessible within the community 🤝.
