Roads Policing update from Pembrokeshire

Monthly community update from Pembrokeshire  Roads Policing Sgt Griffiths  - May/2026

Hello everyone

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a quick round up of the work that your local Roads Policing Unit have been doing in your area, what's coming up and how we are working with partners to keep our roads safe for those living, working and visiting Pembrokeshire.

From what our communities have told us we have been focusing on:

·  Priority 1 - Speeding Concerns: B4320 Hundleton

·  Priority 2 -  Anti-Social Driving/ E-Scooters: Haven Drive, Hakin

·  Priority 3 - Speeding Concerns & Anti-Social Driving: Morrisons Car Park Haverfordwest/A40 to Ridgeway Garage

In addition to the above we have been conducting further proactive road safety patrols and speed enforcement in: Newport, Dinas, Crymych and Cresswell Quay.

To effectively tackle these issues we have been working with:

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs. 

As a result we have:

This coming month we will continue to target the issues affecting our communities by supporting the following:

· Operation Spotlight (Targeting the Fatal 5 Road Traffic Offences: speeding, drink / drug driving / mobile phone use & no seatbelts).

· Operation Apex (Reducing the risks for Vulnerable Road Users such as Motorcyclists & Cyclists) 

·  E-Bike & E-Scooters (Targeting Illegal and Anti-Social use of E-Bikes & E-Scooters)
