Herne Bay Pride – Police Engagement

Dear Herne Bay residents, 

Officers attended Herne Bay Pride today, supporting the community and promoting safety in a positive and inclusive environment.

Throughout the event, officers spoke with the public about My Community Voice (MCV), encouraging sign-ups to help residents stay informed and connected with local policing updates.

There was also a focus on raising awareness of drink spiking, with advice given on how to stay safe and look out for others during social events. Officers also handed out cup covers and straws to help prevent and reduce the risk of spiking..

Officers engaged with families and hosted activities for young children, helping to build positive relationships and make the day enjoyable for all.

The event was a great opportunity to engage with the community and reinforce safety messages while celebrating diversity.
