Operation Trailblaze

Officers will be out across the area tomorrow as part of Operation Trailblaze, focusing on tackling illegal off-roading and protecting our local countryside.

Illegal off-roading can cause significant damage to farmland, wildlife habitats, and public rights of way, as well as posing a danger to others.

We also recognise that not everyone is using vehicles irresponsibly, and there will be people out enjoying the countryside legally and respectfully. Our aim is to deal with those who are breaking the law while supporting responsible use of rural spaces.

We are asking members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or illegal off-road activity. If you see anything of concern, please contact the police using the appropriate reporting channels. In an emergency or if there is an immediate risk, always call 999.
